Project: Start Up Brand Design
Client: William’s Coffee Co.
Services Provided: Brand Design, Naming, Signage, Collateral, Packaging, Creative Direction, Marketing Consultation, Photography, Web, Social.
William is the first client I’ve ever worked with who started a business without a name or business identity. When we met, he had acquired a coffee house and over the course of 6 months, learned and experimented with various aspects of the coffee business. He perfected his coffee bean roasting process (that he was doing in-house), built a menu, and gained a greater understanding of his customer.
As soon as he started feeling confident about the business he had committed to, the need to promote himself and a need for packaging (beverages and beans), it became essential to create a brand identity.
I worked with him on establishing a name and branding; aiming to create a brand that had an established/vintage feel. Then worked with him on identifying all the best “touch points” for branding, developing the store front branding, and producing and selecting the best packaging options that would also provide the best marketing opportunities.
We provided guidance on how the brand could be applied to interiors/shop layout, promotional materials, and web. We secured and created a simple web landing page with a link to the instagram account. Instagram was the business’ primary communication tool so we provided some photographic direction and brand assets for social media.
I’ve worked on many types of branding projects. Some other food brands, small/start-up businesses like this one and some much larger. Feel free to check out other projects and/or ask me any questions.
